Eating wine…

I like to have interesting news about world of wine… This time the news is coming from United States… According to “Terre de Vins” two old friends “Bret Birnbaum” and “David Zablocki” have created a gourmet “sorbet” from wine (actually the news belongs to about 2-3 years back as far as I have checked from the internet; however, may be “Terre de Vins” have just heard about this stunning idea !)

They produce the sorbets under the trade mark of “Wine Cellar Sorbet”. There are several flavors such Pinot Noir, Riesling, Cabernet Sauvignon, Champagne, Rosé and even Sangria, Ruby Port and Sake.

If anybody out there, who has tasted one of these interesting sorbets, please let me know about the taste 🙂

By the way, here is a simple receipt of this sorbet:

375 ml Red Wine

250 ml water

250 gr sugar

1 lemon

Vanilla extract

Boil about 3 minutes water and sugar, and then make a fast cooling for this syrup. Add te wine, one lemon juice and vanilla extract. Use a mixer to mix all and then let them all frozen.

As soon as I see a little bit warmer and sunny days here in Istanbul, I am really thinking of trying this receipt at home… We will see the results later 🙂
